Shawn Michaels' Return to WWE TV REVEALED (DX Reunion Mentioned)

WWe've all been waiting with bated breath for the eventual return of the most grandiose, dramatic in-ring performer in WWE history: The "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels!

And according to PWTorch.com, Michaels is being advertised by both the WWE and the American Airlines Center websites to make a TV appearance at the SmackDown taping on October 11th in Dallas.

Additionally, the center website is promoting a Degeneration-X reunion at the very same taping.

One would think the former "Rocker" will figure prominently into the Vengeance PPV, just 12 days later, coincidentally hosted by his hometown of San Antonio.

Besides that, as exciting as this news is, it obviously provides us with more questions than answers.

In other words, will Shawn Michaels join Triple H's crusade to uncover the truth behind the conspiracies in WWE-land? And what better way to do so than take down The Miz and R-Truth?

Where does the "Showstopper" stand as it relates to Kevin Nash? Will the one-time "Big Daddy Cool" be sent an olive branch to become the newest member of a DX-NWO hybrid faction, or opposed in a DX vs. NWO war?

Will CM Punk oppose the ever-popular group if they were to reform, accusing them of the status quo?

Is this the first step Shawn Michaels takes en route to getting back in the ring, perhaps at Survivor Series?

Is it possible HBK will ally himself with his best friend, Triple H, only to turn on him, revealing a sinister, conspiratorial plot of which he is the mastermind of?

Better yet, could the original leader of DX overthrow the COO throne the "King of Kings" so proudly sits in?

Last but not least, maybe Shawn will turn out to be simply the voice of reason Triple H has been looking for, a complementary COO if you will, to be sought out for counsel during times of indecision?

As you can already bear witness, the return of arguably the best of all time has stirred and incited a smorgasbord of speculation for us to chomp at the bits of possibilities.

However, we will have to remain patient to see how the conductor of "Sweet Chin Music" will be weaved into the current storyline(s).

Wwe.com : Who the Hell would break into "Hell"?

Even with a 5-ton, 20-foot-high, sadistic steel structure surrounding the main events at WWE Hell in a Cell, there's no telling what outside forces might bust in on the action. WWE.com showcases those moments Superstars penetrated the Devil's Playground in order to influence the madness within.

Breaking and entering 'Hell'
Who could forget the infamous moment at In Your House: Badd Blood 1997, when Kane debuted in WWE? After turning out the lights on The Undertaker’s showdown with Shawn Michaels in the first-ever Hell in a Cell, The Big Red Monster literally ripped the door off the Cell, delivering a Tombstone piledriver to his horrific half-brother that allowed HBK to “steel” the victory.

Beware of bolt cutters in the Playground
At Hell in a Cell 2009, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase locked Triple H out in the DX vs. Legacy Tag Team Hell in a Cell Match before it even began. This left The Game's partner, HBK, to suffer an absolutely brutal double assault at the hands of the second-generation Superstars. However, Triple H would not be left out in the cold for long. With the help of bolt cutters, the future WWE COO made short work of the steel chains that secured the door, then stormed into the ring to even the odds.

Wwe.com : Does the “H” stand for "hypocrite"?

After being fired by WWE COO Triple H for attacking a WWE official, Mike Mizanin, formerly known as WWE Superstar “The Miz,” lashed out on Twitter with a list of hypocritical charges against his former boss, citing that Triple H was, in fact, guilty of the same crimes for which he fired Mizanin. (FULL STORY)

But attacking officials are not the only times that The Game has defied authority. As a WWE Superstar, Triple H’s rebellious actions have always managed to find a way under the microscope of commissioners, general managers and even the chairman of the board. WWE.com looks back at three such instances throughout The Cerebral Assassin’s career.

One of Triple H’s earliest instances of defiance came on May 19, 1996 at a WWE Live Event at MadisonSquare Garden. At the time, the WWE COO was a member of the infamous locker room group known as “The Kliq,” which also included Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon (Scott Hall), and Diesel (Kevin Nash). Hall and Nash were about to part ways with WWE, before defecting to WCW, and the four Superstars – noted pairs of in-ring enemies - orchestrated a going away party in the middle of the ring, complete with hugs, handshakes, and a basic disrespect for the night’s match results. This incident, known as “The Curtain Call” was a direct slap in the face of WWE management – the first of many to highlight Triple H’s career.

The Game’s battle against authority continued as he and Shawn Michaels formed D-Generation X in 1997. Neither Superstar would bow down to WWE management, specifically then-commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. HBK and Triple H dubbed the former WWE Champion “Sgt. Slobber,” and mocked him by wearing protective windshield wiper masks while he berated them in the middle of the ring. Further insult came on December 22, 1997 when Slaughter ordered then-WWE and European Champion Michaels to battle Triple H for the European Title. As the match began, HBK simply laid down for The Game who comically ran the ropes before pinning Michaels to win the title and make a mockery of the commissioner.

The very core of D-Generation X is rooted in breaking the rules. When Triple H and HBK reformed DX in 2006, it was because of their treatment at the hands of a tyrannical Mr. McMahon. To fight back, on June 26, 2006 Triple H entered the ring dressed as Mr. McMahon and proceeded to make a complete mockery of The Chairman and his family. The Cerebral Assassin’s ultimate display of disrespect came in making fun of Mr. McMahon’s performance of “Stand Back” at the 1987 Slammy Awards.

So, is former WWE Superstar The Miz is on to something? Can Triple H really maintain control of WWE as COO if his past is filled with moments of the same rebellious antics he’s now forced to condemn?

Wwe.com : "Classic Moment of the Week"

Joey Styles tweet this :

"Classic Moment of the Week" The Undertaker vs. in the very first Hell in a Cell September 27, 2011

The Hell in a Cell match was first introduced at WWF Badd Blood on October 5, 1997 at the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The background to the inaugural match was built on Undertaker's loss to Bret Hart two months prior at the 1997 SummerSlam in a WWF Championship match which Shawn Michaels was assigned to referee. Michaels had deliberately interjected himself in the match and cost The Undertaker a win which resulted in a match between the two at In Your House: Ground Zero. That match was ruled a no-contest due to the two bypassing and attacking the officials. As a climactic end to the feud, their following bout was originally scheduled to be held as a steel cage match. However, instead of a normal cage enclosing only the ring, a larger roofed structure was constructed, enclosing not only the ring but also the surrounding ringside area. The wider space between the ring apron and the cell walls allowed for entering and exiting the ring. At Badd Blood, Michaels defeated The Undertaker and won the number-one contendership to the WWF Championship.

The cage's appearance also makes weapons' using is possibly as well. Wrestlers usually use some weapons in Hell in a Cell by grab it from under the ring, particularly steel chair which is used in every Hell in a Cell match.

Win a Cabela’s Big Game Hunter shirt signed by Shawn Michaels!

Yes, that Shawn Michaels. If you are fan of the Outdoor Channel, you know that pro wrestling’s “Heartbreak Kid” is also a big game hunter with his own TV show, MacMillan River Adventures. He was in New York City recently as part of the Cabela’s Adventure Starts Here tour to check outCabela’s Big Game Hunter 2012 for himself, and he signed a few BGH2012 shirts. The Cabela’s crew sent me one so I could pass it on to you!

It’s a brown shirt, size XL…but not like it matters, because why would you wear it? It’s signed “Shawn Michaels HBK” right there on the front.

The back features some dangerous wildlife. I am showing it to you now because if you win it, this is not the side you will ever look at.

Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2012 ships this week, so is this perfect timing or what? Just fill out the form below before the end of Tuesday, October 4, and I’ll pick a winner the next day. Check my contest FAQ for details if you need them. But if I see the winner wearing this shirt instead of placing it in a proper display case over their mantle…so help me.

Shawn Michaels Tells Triple H He May Be Seeing Him Soon

WWE issued a video to mailing list subscribers of Shawn Michaels interrupting Triple H’s promotion of the Inside Out DVD. After teasing the movie’s plot of Triple’s character killing his best friend, Michaels questions the Chief Operating Officer’s decision making in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

He tells Triple H, “I just want you to know there’s no hard feelings ’cause of what you did to my friend, Kevin Nash. You fired him like a no-good S.O.B. and I’m sure you had a perfectly good reason even though it looks like you’ve changed an awful lot and you’re not the same guy you used to be.

“I’m not going to hold that against you. What anyone says that you’re a turncoat, backstabber—I don’t believe them.”

Michaels then tells Hunter that he may be seeing him again soon, and leaves the room.

CHRIS MASTERS Mentions Shawn Michaels On "In your head"

Chris brings up Shawn Michaels as a guy who helped him a lot and at one point even gave him the opportunity to call the matches on many house shows as they traveled around the horn. He mentioned that Triple H and Vince McMahon also noticed huge improvement in his in-ring work and told him that he had enhanced his skills a lot. At that point there were thoughts of repackaging him and giving him a new push. That is one reason why he was surprised by his release, because he kept hearing that he was going to get a push and a new gimmick. However, since that didn’t materialize he felt that maybe he should have taken the initiative in other aspects of the wrestling game.

Ryan wanted to know, who was his favorite and who was his least favorite person to wrestle. Chris said HBK was obviously the guy he liked working with in his first run, and in his second run he enjoyed working with Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. He liked how Dolph bumped around the ring. Drew had great timing and liked to work snug, just like Chris liked to work. He also talked about Jack Swagger and how he was a bit stiff in the ring, but they eventually were able to work together. Jack Swagger is stiff, said Chris, as was JTG.

Wwe.com: The Hell in a Cell curse

Shawn Michaels
At 2004’s Badd Blood, Shawn Michaels and his former DX cohort, Triple H, battled it out inside the Cell with Mick Foley as a special guest referee. Although Michaels managed to land an elbow drop off of a ladder, The Game won the hellacious bout by flattening HBK with a Pedigree.

Fallout: Michaels suffered a torn meniscus in the bout, which cost him the World Heavyweight Championship at Taboo Tuesday and sidelined him for three months. He then suffered humiliation following his return to action when Kurt Angle eliminated him from the Royal Rumble and defeated him at WrestleMania a few months later. The Showstopper would fortunately bounce back, continue to perform en route to his induction in theWWE Hall of Fame
.

Jim Ross Calls The Upcoming Shawn vs Bret DVD “Groundbreaking”

Jim Ross talked about Shawn’s upcoming DVD in his latest blog:

BTW I just got an advance, finished copy of the WWE Greatest Rivalry Series, Shawn vs. Bret. It is a 3 disc set that features a long, face to face interview conducted by yours truly with the two, WWE Hall of Fame rivals. We cover their careers from their earliest days including San Antonio for HBK and Calgary for Hitman. We talk openingly about what was real and what was fantasy regarding their rivalry. Redemption vs. Reconciliation. Hope vs. Peace. I was honored to be a small part of this production as I truly believe that this interview will be watched by wrestling fans for years to come.

Matches include:  several Rockers vs. Hart Foundation tag bouts including one from Tokyo, Bret vs. Shawn's ladder Match from Portland, Maine in 1992, many other individual bouts between the two beginning in 1990 through 1997 and their inductions into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The face to face interview is ground breaking and not because I conducted it but because of the raw, honesty of both men. It was as emotional and as riveting as any interview that I've been associated with in my career. The approximate running time of the three disc set is 9 hours.

This must see DVD is on sale at the end of October and is one that I strongly suggest that you check out.

WWE Superstars' Favorite Match: “As a fan, I would have to say... I know that it sounds cliché, but one of my favorite matches of all time would be my uncle, Bret “The Hitman” Hart versus the British Bulldog at Summerslam 1992 in Wembley Stadium – that match was revolutionary. My uncle Bret versus Owen at WrestleMania X. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart’s Iron Man Match – again, revolutionary."

Interview: Wrestling Superstar Shawn Michaels on His Favorite Hunting Spots

In New York to promote the latest first-person shooter from Cabela's and Activision, professional wrestling superstar Shawn Michaels spoke with Complex about his current passion: hunting. Since retiring in 2010, Michaels has dedicated himself to the pursuit that, to hear him tell it, has long been part of his life, and for reasons that might surprise the scores of viewers who know him best as the Heartbreak Kid.

Complex: How does hunting compare to wrestling?
Shawn Michaels: I suppose a lot of people don’t understand that one of the things that drew me to hunting was the peace and the solitude, the mushy spiritual stuff, strangely enough. The quiet away from 75,000 roaring fans. The fans, that’s very wonderful; I get a great charge from that. But traveling the world, being in hotels, airplanes all of the time, getting out into the woods became my way to get away from that. There is no adrenaline rush I get from hunting. I mean, sure I’ve been in situations where I’ve been 15 feet from a bear. A month ago, we got charged by an 8,000-lb. elephant.

Where did this happen?
In Africa. In Botswana. Obviously things like that get you going. But you don’t go into the field hoping for some near-death experience. Over the years, with hunting, I think what’s become my favorite part of hunting is how self-sufficient I’m becoming.

If you had to name 5 things that every man should have under his belt, should be able to do to be self-sufficient, what would they be?
Well, the basics: shelter, food, and water. After that, it’s protection. You have to be able to defend yourself. You know, Triple H and I always joke, “Shawn’s my backup plan. If everything goes to hell in a hand basket, I’ll move to Texas and he’ll be able to get us through.” It all started years ago when I was off [from the WWE] with my back injury. I started to learn all this stuff. And I guess, because it was so much the opposite of the glitz and the glamour of the other, it appealed to me. And when I went back [to wrestling] I didn’t get to do it as much, but it’s still always been apart of my life. It wasn’t something I brought to work, though. There were a couple guy—Hunter and Nash—that knew that side of me, but it wasn’t anything I wore on my sleeve.

What are your favorite places that you’ve hunted?
I’m partial to Texas. But Africa was extremely interesting. And the Yukon, where I’ll be going in a couple of days, I got to go there for the first time last year. It’s fascinating to go somewhere where you’re away from everything. There are no houses, no buildings, no roads, no people. And for a little less extreme hunting, any place in the West—Colorado, Utah, Montana—that’s just beautiful country.

What’s been your proudest hunting achievement?
At this point, it was my son taking his first white-tailed deer last year. Passing along that heritage to him, but also that he was so proud to be the guy that supplied dinner—that meant a great deal to me. As proud as he was of the animal, he was more proud that he fed the family. I know to some people, on a lot of levels, that’s dorky and strange and old-fashioned, but to us those are things that I want to instill in my children. I don’t want them to ever lose touch with our heritage. The life of a WWE superstar is awesome, but I want my kids to have a life balanced by more traditional ideas about what our life and our country used to be. And still can be if we want it to be.
